The Puma States X Denim The List is a limited edition pack, which combines the iconic design of Puma’s Suede trainer with luxe denim.
The collection is inspired by the way the Puma Suede, then known as the Puma State in the UK, became fiercely popular in the 90s, appealing to a broad mix of trainer fanatics, football fans and people into the acid house scene.
The Puma States X Denim The List comes in three tonal colourways, black, navy blue and khaki. Each trainer is then finished with antique copper foil and hardware, giving them a distinctive look which effortlessly differentiates them from other Pumas, as well as any imitators.
In the navy blue and khaki States, Puma’s classic Formstripe is tonal, but picked out in contrast stitching, whilst in the black option the stitching is tonal too, making the shoe uber-sleek.
On the back of the heel is suede with Puma branding. Again, in the navy and khaki there is a subtle contrast, with the suede heel being a natural brown, while the black remains tonal, except for the Puma logo.
The result is a fresh, clean style that combines the best of current styling with staying true to the shoes street and hip-hop roots, making a strong contribution to the Puma’s The List collection of limited editions.
Puma are going back to the early 90s for this latest release, the Puma Future R698 Lite Stealth Black. Drawing on the popular Puma R698 running shoe, the 2013 version has been updated with some of the latest sports technologies. The result is a lighter, sleeker shoe, which is capable of delivering sports performance.
The new and updated Puma R698 manages the shed several vital ounces thanks to its carefully engineered design. Super lightweight synthetic suede and air mesh help slim down the trainer, which also sports Puma’s innovative new floating saddle. This reduces the amount of stitching needed, keeping weight down for optimal performance on the track.
The new Puma Future R698 Lite Stealth also borrows the tooling from Puma’s FAAS collection, giving the whole trainer a clean, fresh appearance.
Other significant details of the new Puma Future R698 are designed to ensure that comfort and performance go hand in hand. This includes a lace closure, and an EcoOrthoLite sockliner for ultimate fit and breathability.
The sole of the Puma Future R698 isn’t neglected either. For performance you have a grippy rubber outsole and for style you have a distinctive black and white design, featuring three distinctive white circles under the arch.
And the shoe is finished with classic Puma styling – a reflective Formstripe, Puma logo heel and Puma branding on the tongue.
Puma are touting this shoe as a future classic, and while we admit they might be biased, they also might be right. The combination of technological innovation and style has all the hallmarks of a Puma that will remain desireable for years to come.
